This tour takes you on a journey through some of the most picturesque destinations in Northern India. The tour starts in Delhi, a bustling city that perfectly blends the old and the new. From Delhi, the tour takes you to Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural capital of Punjab, where you will visit the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Witnessing the closing ceremony at Wagah Border is an experience that will leave you spellbound.
The tour then proceeds to McLeod Ganj, a small town near Dharamshala, which is home to the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama. You can feel the Tibetan ambiance in this small hill station, and there are numerous places and monuments to explore in this quaint town.
Next, the tour takes you to Manali, a beautiful hill station nestled in the Himalayas. This charming town is known for its breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains, Hadimba Temple, and the hot springs of Vashisht. You can also visit Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The final leg of the tour takes you to Rishikesh and Haridwar, two of the holiest cities in India. Rishikesh is known as the yoga capital of the world and is home to numerous yoga and meditation retreats. Haridwar is considered one of the seven holiest places in Hinduism and is located at the foothills of the Himalayas. The evening Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri is a must-see experience that will leave you feeling spiritually rejuvenated. The tour ends in Delhi, the perfect place to do some last-minute shopping before you head back home.
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. If you wish, you can explore either old or new Delhi before retiring for the night.
Day 2: Delhi to Amritsar (455 km, 7-8 hours)
After breakfast, you'll drive to Amritsar. In the afternoon, you can relax before heading to the Wagah border to witness the Indo-Pakistan border closing ceremony. Later, visit the spectacular Golden Temple after sunset and take in the illuminated surroundings. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 3: Amritsar to Mcleodganj (210 km, 4-5 hours)
After breakfast, visit the famous Golden Temple and then proceed to Mcleodganj near Dharamshala. It is the headquarters of the Tibetan Government in exile and home to the leader of Tibetan people, the Dalai Lama. You can feel the Tibetan ambience in this small hill station. Relax or take a stroll in the town in the evening.
Day 4: Mcleodganj Visit
Spend the entire day exploring this small town and its surroundings. There is a long list of places and monuments to visit, including the Dalai Lama Temple, Library of Tibetan Works, Church of St. John in the Wilderness, Dal Lake, Kangra Art Museum, Gyuto Monastery, and numerous restaurants and cafes.
Day 5: Mcleodganj to Manali (270 km, 5-6 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Manali and visit Kangra Fort and Kangra Devi Temple en route. Check into the hotel in Manali for the night.
Day 6: Manali Visit
Spend the day exploring Manali and Rohtang Pass. Visit the Hadimba temple, Club House, Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and Vashisth, known for its hot springs. Stay overnight in Manali.
Day 7: Manali to Chandigarh (270 km, 6-7 hours)
Drive to Chandigarh in the morning and take a walk around Sector 17 in the evening. Chandigarh is a union territory and the capital city of two states, Haryana and Punjab. It was the first planned city in India after independence in 1947, with well-maintained roads and parking spaces throughout the city. Places of touristic interest include the Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden, and Museum of Art. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 8: Chandigarh to Rishikesh (250 km, 5-6 hours)
In the morning, visit Chandigarh, including the Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake. Afterward, depart for Rishikesh and check into the hotel. Take some time to relax before visiting some temples in the evening and attending the arti. Spend the night in Rishikesh.
Day 9: Rishikesh and Haridwar visit
Explore Rishikesh and Haridwar, two holy and culturally rich places. In Haridwar, visit the Bara Bazar, Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple, and witness the Ganges arti at Harki Pauri. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 10: Rishikesh to Delhi (240 km, 5-6 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Delhi and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. End of service.
